This publication was written by Sue Laver PhD (Department of Community Medicine, University of Zimbabwe) and Nel Druce (Healthlink Worldwide, UK), with contributions and review by Rakesh Rajani (kuleana, Tanzania), design and production by Ingrid Emsden (Health link Worldwide), and illustrations by Action Magazine, Zimbabwe.

It is based on Let's teach about AIDS, a series of booklets written by Sue Laver, designed and illustrated by Action Magazine in Zimbabwe, and published by Healthlink Worldwide (formerly AHRTAG) in 1992/94.

This guide provides ideas for training activities which can be used for enabling people to participate more actively in discussion about HIV prevention and making sex safer.

Some of the activities in this guide have been adapted, with kind permission, from the following materials: School curriculum and Sexual health workshop guidelines, unpublished, kuleana; Stepping Stones, Strategies for Hope; Working with Uncertainty; FPA, England (activities 3, 4 7,9); and Unmasking AIDS, IPPF (activities 5,11).
